Appointment of NY Highways as the chosen Electric Vehicle Charge Point (EVCP) delivery agent to oversee the NYC legacy EVI replacement programme on behalf of North Yorkshire Council.

Reasons for the decision

To ensure a timely delivery for the replacement of legacy EVI as well as the best possible customer experience to ensure that we have a reliable EVCP network for all NYC EV users.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option would have been for the Council to remove all EVI across NYC and wait for the LEVI programme to install new EVI. This would result in extensive delays and would not support current and active EVI for EV users in North Yorkshire.
