To award a contract for the repairs to Widdale Head Bridge - under NEC4 Contract Option A on the CECF 2026 Civils Lot One Framework.

Reasons for the decision

A tender call off exercise was undertaken through Lot 1 of the Framework. Following evaluation the council is to award the scheme to Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd as they were the best value compliant bid.

Alternative options considered

Other frameworks were considered; however, the civils framework was considered the most suitable for the proposed works.
