To directly award construction works via the Council’s existing HMC2021 contract (NEC4 ECC) with NY Highways Limited, at a value of £2,017,765.28 for Public Realm works at Scarborough Station.

Reasons for the decision

A decision has been taken to directly award the works to NYC’s wholly owned Teckal company, NY Highways Limited. The scheme is estimated to commence on site in January 2027 and complete in January 2028.

Alternative options considered

Alternative procurement route discounted due to directly awarding to the Teckal Company.
