Purpose

This report summarises proposed amendments to
the Capital Programme considered by the Capital Strategy Group on
29 April 2025.

Content

RESOLVED
that:-
 
Great
Northumberland Forest – Hadston and Redrow
a)       Cabinet approve the
spend of £0.048 million in 2025-26 to create two new native
woodlands in Hadston and Redrow. This spend will be externally funded from the Forestry Commission as
part of the England Woodland Creation Offer; and
b)       Cabinet approve the
amendment to the capital programme to include the £0.048
million spend in 2025-26.
 
HRA
Roof Replacement Programme
a)       Cabinet approve the
spend of £3.364 million (£1.658 million in 2025-26 and
£1.706 million in 2026-27) for the replacement of roof
coverings and roofline to 424 Council-owned homes. This spend will
be funded from the HRA Major Repairs
Reserve;
b)       Cabinet approve the
amendment to the capital programme to reallocate £1.658
million in 2025-26 and £1.706 million in 2026-27 from the
Major Repairs Reserve to the Roof Replacement Programme;
and
c)       delegated authority
be granted to the Executive Director of
Place and Regeneration, in consultation with the S151 Officer, to
enter into the resulting contract up to the value of £3.267
million.
