Acquisition of the mines and minerals rights under the former
Hexham Middle School site
 
RESOLVED
that:-
 
a)      
Cabinet approve the spend of £0.300 million in 2025-26 to
acquire the freehold mines and minerals rights under the former
Hexham Middle School site. This will be funded from Council
resources from the existing Property Stewardship Fund project in
the capital programme; and
b)      
Cabinet approve the amendment to the capital programme to
reallocate £0.300 million in 2025-26 from the Property
Stewardship Fund project to the Mines and Minerals rights under the
former Hexham Middle School.
 
Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal – Place
Programme
 
RESOLVED
that:-
 
a)      
Cabinet approve the spend of £0.196 million (£0.023
million in 2025-26 and £0.173 million in 2026-27) for the
wayfinding and interpretation project in Penrith. This spend will
be externally funded from the Borderlands grant;
b)      
Cabinet approve the amendment to the capital programme to
reallocate £0.196 million (£0.023 million in 2025-26
and £0.173 million in 2026-27) from the existing external
funding in the Borderlands Place Plan project to the Penrith
Wayfinding and Interpretation project;
c)      
Cabinet approve the spend of £1.700 million (£0.123
million in 2025-26, £1.257 million in 2026-27 and
£0.320 million in 2027-28) to restore the Grade 1 listed
Northumberland Hall. This spend will be externally funded from the
Borderlands grant; and
d)      
Cabinet approve the amendment to the capital programme to
reallocate £1.700 million (£0.123 million in 2025-26,
£1.257 million in 2026-27 and £0.320 million in
2027-28) from the existing external funding in the Borderlands
Place Plan project to the Bailiffgate at Northumberland Hall
project.
 
Tynedale House Structural Works
 
RESOLVED
that:-
 
a)      
Cabinet approve the spend of £0.105 million in 2025-26 for
remedial plymer-resin injection works for Tynedale House. This
spend will be funded from Council resources from the existing
Property Stewardship Fund project in the capital programme;
and
b)      
Cabinet approve the amendment to the capital programme to
reallocate £0.105 million in 2025-26 from the Property
Stewardship Fund project to the Tynedale House Structural Works
project.
 
 
 
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service Estate Essential
Maintenance Programme
 
RESOLVED
that:-
 
Cabinet approve the spend of up
to £0.959 million in 2025-26 for essential health and safety
works across the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service estate,
subject to approval of the full scope of works by the Strategic
Estates Manager and the Corporate Health and Safety Manager. This
spend will be funded from the existing NFRS Fire Station Upgrade
Programme.
