Purpose

A new Northumberland Local Plan is being developed under a reformed plan making system. The report provides an update on progress since it was last reported to Cabinet (July 25) and sets out the next steps.

Decision

RESOLVED that:-

·         Cabinet note the purpose of Local Plan Scoping Consultation, and the next steps;

·         Cabinet note that the Council’s constitution grants general delegated authority to the Executive Director of Place and Regeneration to discharge the Council’s functions including for Plan Making; and

·         Cabinet approve the proposed timetable to progress a New Northumberland Local Plan under the New Plan Making system.
