Purpose
To receive the Institute of Health Equity's Report on Reducing Inequalities in Northumberland through Employment
Decision
RESOLVED that:-
(a) Cabinet endorse the Institute of Health Equity’s Report on Reducing Inequalities in Health in Northumberland through Employment;
(b) Cabinet note the findings from the report which provides an independent assessment to Cabinet with a clear, evidence-based set of recommendations to inform decisions on actions that are most likely to reduce the healthy life expectancy gap in Northumberland by improving equity of access to good quality employment; and
(c) Cabinet note the role of Northumberland County Council alongside a wider set of partners and the mechanisms which will be used to deliver the recommendations in the report.
