Purpose

To approve the council’s policy for the
licensing of hackney carriages and private hire activity in the
county.

Content

RESOLVED
that:-
 

1.   
Cabinet note the contents of the report;
 

2.   
Cabinet approve the Northumberland Hackney Carriage
and Private Hire Policy included as Appendix 1 to the report;
and
 

3.   
authority be delegated to the Chief Fire Officer and
Director of Public Protection, in consultation with the Cabinet
Member for Looking after our Communities, to agree any non-material
changes to the policy as required.
