The Nottingham City Health and Wellbeing Board, established under the Health and Social Care Act 2012, leads the strategic approach to improving the health and wellbeing of Nottingham's residents and reducing health inequalities. It develops a shared understanding of local health needs from birth to end of life and provides system leadership to ensure effective collaboration. The Board has strategic influence over commissioning decisions across health, public health, and social care, considering the wider determinants of health and involving patients and service users in these decisions.
