About
The Nottinghamshire & City of Nottingham Fire & Rescue Authority is responsible for ensuring the Fire and Rescue Service has the necessary people, equipment, and training to carry out its duties. These duties include fire prevention, fire safety, firefighting, rescue operations, road traffic collision extrication, and responding to other emergencies like flooding or terrorism.
This Combined Fire Authority, made up of councillors from both Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, makes key decisions on strategy, policy, and the budget. Several sub-committees also report to the full Authority.
