It approves shareholder agreements, reviews annual reports and financial accounts, and decides on the distribution of any surplus or dividends.

The committee appoints and removes company directors, agrees on the hiring and payment of external directors, and appoints company auditors. It also approves guidelines for council interaction with these companies and handles any reserved powers within company articles of association. The committee's decisions directly affect the council's financial interests and the governance of its subsidiary companies.
