About
The Standards Committee supports Oldham Council in upholding high standards of behaviour for elected councillors and other appointed members, in line with the Localism Act 2011. It advises the council on its Members' Code of Conduct, monitors its effectiveness, and provides training. The committee also handles reports from the Monitoring Officer and addresses complaints related to member conduct, ensuring adherence to ethical standards across various council roles.
