Purpose

This report seeks delegated approval to
appoint an engineering consultant to undertake 125 no. inspections
of highway structures around the borough.

Content

RESOLVED - That:
1. To approve the highway structures inspections project; and
2. To approve the direct award of RSK Environment Limited via the
ESPO Framework Agreement, Lot 5 Highways, Traffic and Transport and
for the Council to enter into a contract with RSK Environment
Limited under the Framework Agreement.

Reasons for the decision

Option 1 - 1. Undertake a competitive process
– this was considered, but the previous knowledge of RSK
Environment Ltd having undertaken previous inspections for Oldham
Council was deemed to be beneficial and cost effective, and a
compliant route for a direct award to RSK was established
