the proposed works at the Oldham Coliseum, Fairbottom Street site
following the PCSA period and to enter into contract with Tilbury
Douglas.
Content
RESOLVED - That:
1.
Using Cabinet Delegated Authority – accept Tilbury Douglas
Redevelopment submission amount of £10,000,000 excl.
VAT.
2.
Using Cabinet Delegated Authority – approve the appointment
of Tilbury Douglas and authorise the finalisation of the published
form of contract so that the Council can enter into a Contract with
Tilbury Douglas for the submitted works.
3.
Delegate authority to the Borough Solicitor to carry out all
necessary legal formalities.
Reasons for the decision
Option 1 - Acceptance of submission
This would enable works to progress on site in line with Tilbury
Douglas submission and progress the redevelopment of the Fairbottom
Street site.
Option 2 - Do nothing / defer the works
This would immediately impact the ability of the Council to
progress the refurbishment of the Coliseum / Fairbottom Street
site, possibly resulting in Council requiring to undertake
alternative procurement solution to procure a different suitable
contractor to progress the works.
Alternative options considered

progress the refurbishment of the Coliseum / Fairbottom Street
site, possibly resulting in Council requiring to undertake
