Councillor Corais has submitted a request for £600.00 for the payment to John Henry Newman Academy - support for a Screen-Printing Workshop for Year 6 - John Henry Newman School

The Councillor notes ' A full-day screen-printing workshop for Year 6 pupils leaving John Henry Newman School on 13 July 2026. Each pupil will design and hand-print a commemorative T-shirt, gaining creative confidence and practical printmaking skills while celebrating the end of primary school. Deliver creative opportunities for the local community, and this workshop forms part of that wider commitment to supporting young people through accessible arts education.

Alternative options considered

The Ward Member spend could not be approved; however, the application has been reviewed by the relevant consultees and fits with the scheme as set out within the Constitution.
