Decision

The vote, undertaken by way of a roll call, was carried. The votes were recorded as follows:

For the Motion: Councillors Tessa Hodgson, Aaron Carey, Alistair Cameron, Jon Harvey, Paul Miller, Rhys Sinnett and Jacob Williams [7]  

There were no votes against or abstentions.

DECISION

(a)  That Council be recommended to retain the Long-Term Empty Property Council Tax Premium at 300% for 2027-28, applicable from 1 April 2027.

(b)  That Council be recommended to make no change to the current use of Council Tax Premium income for 2027-28, as follows:

(i)  92% to fund elements of the Council’s budget relating to affordable housing and enhancing the sustainability of local communities as set out above.

(ii)  6% for the Affordable Housing programme.

(iii)  2% for the Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant scheme.

Reason for Decision: To make a recommendation to Council on the level and use of the long-term empty property Council Tax premium.
