About
The Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct among all elected councillors, co-opted members, and church and parent governor representatives in Powys.
It advises the council on its Code of Conduct, monitors its operation, and provides training on conduct matters. The committee also handles reports from tribunals and the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales, grants dispensations for interests, and oversees registers of interest and accountability rules. It advises individual councillors on conduct issues and monitors member attendance and training.
