Cleveland Fire Authority

The Cleveland Fire Authority sets the strategic direction for fire and rescue services in the Cleveland area. It approves the Community Plan, considers community and partner views, and promotes partnerships. The Authority also manages corporate risks, sets revenue and capital budgets, and ensures compliance with statutory duties. It appoints key officers, reviews governance, and maintains media and trade union relations. The committee makes decisions on reports from other committees and receives information from the Chief Fire Officer and Audit Commission.
