The Cabinet considered
a report of the Director of Economy and Place which sought approval
of the plans to develop the Corner Plot site. This was a key site
to the North of Rochdale Station Gateway. The site would help
transform the area as well as setting a standard for future
developments in the area.
 
The Senior Project
Officer (Rochdale Development Agency), accompanied by the Head of
Commercial Finance and the Project Manager from Arcadis were in attendance to
present the report and to address the questions and the comments of
the Cabinet Members.
 
The Portfolio Holder
for Regeneration and Housing requested that affordable rents
were considered for the new
development.
 
Resolved that the
recommendations as outlined at points 2.1 – 2.8 of the report
be agreed.
