Joint Waste and Recycling Committee

The Joint Waste and Recycling Committee comprises elected members from East Sussex County Council, Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council, and Wealden District Council. Its primary objective is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of waste collection services across these authorities, as mandated by the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The committee also aims to foster collaboration with East Sussex County Council, the Waste Disposal Authority, to identify and implement integration opportunities in waste management.
