About

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee supports the work of the Cabinet and the Council as a whole, and aims to give citizens a greater say in Council matters. It consults the public on local concerns, producing reports and recommendations that advise the Cabinet and Council on policies, budgets, and service delivery.

The Committee monitors Cabinet decisions and can 'call-in' decisions that have not yet been implemented to consider their appropriateness. Meetings are generally open to the public.
