As per the Constitution and the Regeneration
and Environment Sub-scheme of Delegation: The Assistant Director is
authorised in the discharge of any executive function not otherwise
reserved to the full Council, the Cabinet, a committee of the
Cabinet, a member of the Cabinet, a joint committee discharging
executive function.

Decision:

That the current tariff and concessions to
that tariff are changed to unlimited free parking for all customers
of Forge Island businesses.

Reasons for the Decision:

In order to support the continuing increased
usage of Forge Island, consideration has been given to promoting
access to Forge Island through the parking tariffs associated with
those visiting Forge Island businesses.

Details of alternative options considered and
rejected:

Maintain the existing pricing structure. This
was rejected as it may result in the existing tariff as a deterrent
to potential customers of the businesses on the site and creating
confusion due to the mix of concessions. The recommended option is
deemed to be a simpler approach which promotes visitors.
