Purpose

This decision allocates £536,000 for phase two of the
Children’s Playgrounds Capital Improvement Programme, along
with an additional £50,000 Community Infrastructure
Levy (CIL) funding, in
the financial
years 2025/26 and 2026/27.
 
This funding will be used to improve the following five
sites: Wath Skate Park (additional £50k CIL), Rosehill
Victoria Park, Cherry Tree Park, FerhamPark and *Packman Road Park
(*subject to feasibility).
 
Improvements will
also be made at Old Hall Park if sufficient budget remains
following the completion of the first five sites.
 
The project team
will also consult with stakeholders including residents and
Ward Members on suitable playground equipment.
