It is recommended that the
revised Business Rates Discretionary Relief Policy be approved for
publication on the Councils’ website.

and digital services
(c) Information governance
(d) Procurement and purchasing
(e) Legal Services

Decision:

The Strategic Director of Finance and Customer
Services  grants approval to the updated
Business Rates Discretionary Relief Policy.
 

Reasons for the Decision:

To ensure that the Business Rates
Discretionary Rates Relief Policy is updated in line with
legislation, government guidance and the introduction of the UK
Subsidy Control Act 2022.

Consideration was given to not updating the
policy, this was rejected as not updating the policy would result
in decisions being made that would not be in line with legislation
and/or government guidance.
