Appendix 9 - Responsibility for
Functions
The functions and delegations of the Assistant Chief
Executive are currently being exercised by the Strategic Director
of Finance and Customer Services. This arrangement is set out as a
footnote, on the first page of Appendix 9 (Responsibility for
Functions) of the Council Constitution as follows:
Further to Appendix 9, Section 3A paragraph 3(e) of
the Constitution the Chief Executive has temporarily reallocated
the functions and delegations of the Assistant Chief Executive to
the Strategic Director of Finance and Customer Services
Decision:
To approve the updated version of the Joint Working
Agreement between RMBC and Parish Councils
Reasons for the Decision:
Authority is delegated to the Assistant Chief
Executive to take the necessary actions to approve and publish the
updated Joint Working Agreement, which has been undertaken in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood
Working.
Details of alternative options considered and
rejected:
The Council could choose not to have a Joint Working
Agreement with the Parish Councils; however, this would not support
the Council’s vision and desired strategic outcomes within
the Council Plan (2025-30), particularly ‘Places are
thriving, safe and clean’ or with its Thriving Neighbourhoods
Strategy (2018-25) and neighbourhood working model.
