Purpose

The charges that Rotherham Music will set to
begin in September 2025 for the academic year 2025/26.
 
Previously decisions around charges have been
subjected to the Council’s fees and charges increases,
however in order to remain competitive
in the market the services fees have been exempted from this
process and will be agreed by annual ODR.

On 5th March 2025 Council
approved the Council’s Budget and Council Tax Report 2025/26
as part of  this, the service was granted an exemption from
the inflationary price increase to allow time for a full review of
its schedule of Fees & Charges.  

Decision:

To approve the amendments to
the schedule of Fees & Charges.
 
To approve the proposed Fees
& Charges for academic year 2025/26.

To approve the annual
implementation of Fees & Charges for Rotherham Music from
September onwards to avoid prohibiting participation mid-way
through the academic year.
 

Reasons for the
Decision:

To allow the service to charge
schools and parents for music services in line with the councils
FPPRs.
