Engaging the community will help ensure the
final design is inclusive, well-informed, and aligned with local
expectations, supporting the Council’s commitment to
participatory planning and high-quality play provision

Details of alternative options considered and
rejected:

Proceeding with the redevelopment without
consulting local residents and children was considered but
ultimately rejected. This approach risked delivering a play area
that did not reflect community needs, potentially resulting in low
usage and dissatisfaction.
