Decision:
To award a 5-year contract, and appoint CAE Technology
Limited to provide the Council with a replacement compute solution,
at a value of £994,387.58.
Reasons for the Decision:
Following evaluation of the procurement options against the
Council’s requirements, the Council decided to make a direct
award via Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) framework;
Network Connectivity and Telecommunication Solutions 2; Lot 2 -
Local Area Network (LAN) Services; framework reference
1229.
Details of alternative options considered and
rejected:
Above threshold open tender process and a further
competition process under the same YPO framework as referenced
above [1229] were both considered and discounted due to the time it
would take to complete the procurement process which would not meet
the Council’s timeline for replacement.
