Reasons for the
Decision:
 
 

To enable the process to adopt
the Maltby Neighbourhood Plan as part of the Rotherham Local Plan
through referendum

alternative options considered and rejected:
 

The LPA may make a different
judgement regarding the Examiner’s recommendations, and that
alternative or additional amendments are required to meet the basic
conditions. Clear reasons would be required, additional
consultation would need to take place, and potentially a further
independent examination. In exceptional circumstances the Secretary
of State may be asked to intervene, where the LPA fails to submit a
plan for referendum or departs from an examiner’s
recommendations.
