£1000 according to the Council’s criteria for cultural,
leisure and events grants

Waive the fees and costs associated with road
closures in support of street parties
·      
Approve the award of 25 £500 community grants
following an open application process

 

Reasons for the
Decision:

The decision has been taken in
line with national guidance issued by Department for Levelling Up
Housing & Communities to support localised activity related to
the King’s Coronation.
 

Details of alternative
options considered and rejected:

Do Nothing: Without support
from the Council events would either not go ahead or may go ahead
in a way that does not provide appropriate health and safety
measures, particularly where road closures are
concerned.
