£700,000 is accepted for the site edged red at Appendix

Decision:

That the Assistant Director for
Property and Facilities Services approves the disposal of the site
identified on the plan attached in accordance with agreed Heads of
Terms. Asset Management will manage the disposal process with the
proposed purchaser, in consultation with the Council’s
Section 151 Officer and the Cabinet Member for Transport, Jobs, and
the Local Economy.
 

Reasons for the
Decision:

Following Cabinet approval to
dispose of this asset on 20th November 2023, this report
is to provide an update on the interest received following a
marketing exercise and to advise of the outcome for the sale of the
ground lease at Doncaster Gate.
 
The Cabinet report provided a
capital receipt estimate which was included in exempt appendix 2 to
the Cabinet report. However, the final figure following marketing
is below the estimate.
 
The proposal is to sell the
freehold of the property to the current leaseholder Assura who were
the highest bidder following this marketing process.
