Reasons for the
Decision:
 
 

Approval and integration into
non-statutory planning designation would contribute towards the
robustness of the Local Plan.

alternative options considered and rejected:
 

Not
designating the new RIGS boundaries would mean the Local Site
System is not kept up to date. The RIGS have been identified and
agreed by the expert Local Geological Sites Panel as meriting
inclusion.
