Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is responsible for all council functions related to licensing and registration under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005, excluding the statement of licensing policy. This includes overseeing applications and appeals for various licences such as taxi, gaming, entertainment, and scrap metal dealers. The committee establishes sub-committees to hear and determine licensing applications and appeals where objections or representations have been received, or where a licence or registration is intended for refusal or revocation.
