Purpose

A tendering exercise has been undertaken
during the second quarter of 2024 in conjunction with the Corporate
Procurement Service using a schedule of products assembled from
usage date from the previous 12-month period.

Four completed tenders were received and were evaluated in
accordance with the specified award criteria of criteria of 80%
cost and 20% quality.

CBS Midlands Limited achieved the highest scores for both quality
and pricing and are therefore recommended for appointment as the
contracted supplier for the three year contract period.

Content

To appoint CBS Midlands Limited as sole
provider of Domestic Ironmongery for the period 01 December 2024 to
30 November 2027 with an option to extend by 1 year.

That the Executive Director of Place be authorised to award the
contract, as referred to in (1) above, to the successful
contractor. Authority received from Cabinet at the 17 July 2024
Cabinet Meeting.

That the Assistant Director - Legal and Assurance and Monitoring
Officer be authorised to enter into or execute under seal any
documentation in relation to the award of the contract.
