Purpose

Cabinet approval has been granted for the
Director of Public Health to have final sign off of distribution of
the Local Stop Smoking Services and Support Grant (LSSSSG) monies
(Cabinet - 17July 2024 - Minute No. 83/24 (4)).
Sandwell has since been notified of its 2025/26 LSSSSG allocation
which DHSC have published: Local stop smoking services and support:
funding allocations and methodology for 2025 to 2026. We now wish
to utilise the LSSSSG funding allocation in line with OHID grant
conditions for the period 2025/26.

In accordance with delegation granted to the
Director of Public Health by Cabinet through a decision of 17 July
2024 (Cabinet - 17July 2024 - Minute No. 83/24 (4) it is agreed
to:

(1) Enact the cabinet decision that the Director of Public Health
be authorised to have final sign off of distribution of the Local
Stop Smoking Services and Support Grant monies as required by
Office for Health Improvement & Disparities (OHID) in line with
OHID grant conditions for the grant period: 2025/26.
