that Cabinet, on behalf of the Council as the
sole owner of Sandwell Children’s Trust:
 
(1)     notes the completed sequence of
events that are contractually required to extend the contract of a
non-executive director of Sandwell Children’s Trust
board.
 
(2)     notes and takes into account in
its decision-making, the response from the Secretary of State for
Education.
 
(3)     agrees the extension of contract
to Stephen Rimmer as a nonexecutive
director of Sandwell Children’s Trust for the period of up to
three years from 1 November 2023.
