Purpose

The fees and charges for
Commercial Waste Services are reviewed annually in line with the
CPI % for September each year.  The CPI
for September 2024 was 1.7%. 
 
It is recommended this is
rounded to 2% to mitigate increases in resources needed to provide
the service, including staff wages and the cost of providing and
replacing wheeled bins to commercial premises.

the rate for all Commercial
Waste Services be increased by 2% for the financial year
2025/26;
 

(2)

the rates be rounded to the nearest
£0.50p; and
 

(3)

the new rates be applied from 1st
April 2025

All Commercial Waste fees are reviewed
annually for the service to remain viable whilst competitive in the
open market.
