Purpose

The report sets out the need
for general banking services across the Council.
It also seeks authority to
commence a procurement exercise for the continued provision of a
general banking services following the end of the existing contract
in March 2026.

(1)

approval be given to begin a
procurement exercise for the provision of general banking services
utilising the North-East Procurement Organisation 531 (NEPO)
Framework Agreement; and
 

(2)

the Executive Director of
Corporate Services and Commercial, in consultation with the Cabinet
Member - Corporate Services be granted delegated authority to award
the contract and to award any extension thereof.
