Purpose

To seek approval for the
progression of a Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which will
amend the existing Traffic Regulation Order for Station Road,
Ainsdale to improve the ability to enforce the parking restrictions
at the affected location. 
 

Decision

Decision(s):
 
1.   
Approval of the Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which would
reduce the length of the existing limited waiting parking bay at
the affected location on Station Road, Ainsdale, was noted.
2.   
The necessary legal procedures, including public consultation and
advertising the Council’s intention to implement the Order,
were approved.
3.   
In the event that no objections were
received during the consultation process referred to in (2) above,
the Chief Legal and Democratic Officer was authorised to make the
Order, and the Highway Management Manager was authorised to
implement the Order. In the event that
objections were received during the consultation process, the
matter was referred to the Licensing & Regulatory Committee for
consideration in accordance with the Council’s
Constitution.
