Purpose

To seek approval to: revoke the
existing 50mph Speed Limit Order on section of Marine Drive,
Southport and introduce a new 40mph speed limit and wating
restriction along the full length of Crossens Way and at its junction with Marine
Drive

Decision(s):
 
1. 
Approve the introduction of the Traffic Regulation Order, as
detailed within the report, be noted.
2. 
The necessary legal procedures, including public consultation and
advertising the Council’s intention to implement the Order,
were approved.
3. 
In the event that no objections were
received during the consultation process referred to in (2) above,
the Chief Legal and Democratic Officer was authorised to make the
Order, and the Highway Management Manager was authorised to
implement the Order. In the event that
objections were received during the consultation process, the
matter was referred to the Licensing & Regulatory Committee for
consideration in accordance with the Council’s Constitution,
