Purpose

This report seeks approval of
the two Masterplans (Vision Document - appended to this report) in
the Bootle area for the following areas:

·      
Site of former St Johns Houses (between Merton Road
and Trinity Road)

·      
Hawthorne Road/Canal Corridor
 

Decision

Decision:

 

(1) 
The masterplans for the former St Johns Houses and
the Hawthorne Road/Canal Corridor for use in marketing the sites
and supporting planning proposals and funding bids be
approved.

 

Reason for the Decision:
 
The approval
of the Masterplans for the two areas in Bootle will help the
Council direct the development that it would like to see in two key
regeneration opportunity areas of Bootle. They will also assist if
trying to secure development and investment opportunities in the
areas.
