Purpose

To seek Cabinet Member approval
for additional works to be completed works for the consolidation of
pupils onto a single school site.

Decision(s):

 
(1)  
The approved supplementary capital estimate of £89,597,
funded from unallocated balances in the Basic Needs Capital grant,
to ensure the essential additional work identified could proceed,
be noted.

(2) 
 Authority was delegated
to the appropriate officers, who were authorised to procure the
works in accordance with the Council’s Contract Procedure
Rules and to proceed with the procurement and implementation of the
required works, be noted.

 

Reason for the Decision(s):

 
Once the additional
funding is approved for the essential additional works, the project
can be completed as agreed so that the infant pupils can move into
the junior building and new modular buildings for the second half
of the autumn term. Once the infant school building has been
vacated, it is proposed that the vacant building will be utilised
for SEND provision.
