Purpose

Cabinet Member approval is
sought to the agree the sale of Homer Green Barn Lunt Road,
Thornton, Merseyside L29 8YA on basis of the Heads of Terms
detailed within this report.

Decision

Decision(s):

 

(1) 
The approved sale of the Council’s freehold
interest in Homer Green Barn, Lunt Road, Thornton, Merseyside L29
8YA, on basis of the Heads of Terms detailed within this report, be
noted.

(2) 
The approved deduction of up to 4% of the eventual
capital receipt to cover the professional fees and incidental costs
of disposal as set out in the Capital Accounting Regulations, be
noted; and

(3) 
the Chief Legal and Democratic Officer was
authorised to complete the necessary legal formalities in relation
to the disposal, be noted.

 

Reason for the Decision(s):

 

The Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and
Skills is requested to approve the sale
of Homer Green Barn on the Terms detailed within the
report.
 

Alternative Options Considered and
Rejected:

 
If the
Council do not enter into the agreed
terms, the Property will remain in its current state which is a
liability from a maintenance perspective and is detrimental to the
wider area.
