This report is presented to
Cabinet Member to approve the change in scope to the current
proposals at Kings Leadership Hawthornes Project, and approval of
the project at Kings Lander Primary Academy both in the Great
Schools Academy Trust which is outlined in the main
report.

Decision:
(1)
The approved allocation of £150,890 to Kings
Lander Primary Academy from the capital receipt received from the
sale of the former St Wilfrid’s site to approve the
development of a purpose-built Early Years outdoors physical
environment, serving all Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils
from 2 – 5, be noted.
(2)
Provision of a structured, age-appropriate area to
enhance physical growth, gross and fine motor skills and sensory
engagement, be noted.
(3)
The aim of this funding being to create a
high-quality setting that fully supports the EYFS statutory
framework. a covered canopy over one of the existing Multi-Use
Games Area (MUGA) to enable students to have all year-round use of
the MUGA facility, be noted.
Reason for the Decision(s):
The Great Schools Multi
Academy Trust and the Head teacher believethat the advantages of this proposal for the school
significantly outweigh the benefits of the existing
plans.
