Purpose

In accordance with
procurement procedure rules, this report seeks Cabinet Member
approval for the acceptance of the lowest tender to undertake Roof
Refurbishment and Masonry Repair Works Phase 1 at Bootle Town
Hall.

Executive Director of Regeneration, Economy and Assets to
enter into contracts with the successful
contractor.

Services capital budget (CR268) to the Bootle Town Hall Masonry /
Roof Replacement capital budget (CR267) had been
made.

The Building Services Officer recommends approval
be given by Cabinet Member to proceed with the scheme as proposed
at a total cost of £2,630,204.23 including acceptance of the
lowest tender submitted by Tenderer F in the sum of
£2,250,572.11.
Approval is
also sought for a budget virement of £306,204 from the
Bootle Town Hall - Electrical Services capital budget (CR268) to
the Bootle Town Hall - Masonry / Roof Replacement capital budget
(CR267).
