Purpose

To seek Cabinet Member approval for the allocation of High Needs Capital funding (HNPCA) to support the development of identified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aimed at increasing capacity and improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

  1. The approved supplementary capital estimate allocation from the High Needs Capital Grant to fund the proposed SEND capital schemes outlined, be noted.
  2. The officers be Authorised officers to undertake necessary procurement, contractual, design, and delivery activities associated with these schemes.

Reasons for the recommendation:

Approving these schemes represents a significant investment in the borough’s SEND infrastructure and will help meet current and future demand in a sustainable, inclusive, and cost-effective manner.
