Purpose

This report is presented to Cabinet Member to approve the current proposals at Rowan Park Special School which is outlined in the background report.

Decision:

1. The approved allocation of £76,281 from the capital receipt received from the sale of the former St Wilfrid’s site towards the creation of a 5G Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP), providing a high-quality, all-weather sports facility for pupils and the wider local community, be noted.

Reasons for the recommendation:

The school believe that the advantages of this proposal for both the school and the broader community significantly outweigh the benefits of the existing plan, which would only be viable during the summer months.
