Purpose

The purpose of this report is
to seek the Cabinet Member’s approval for the adoption of
Homer Green and Carr Houses Conservation Area
Appraisals and Management Plans and the update of Lunt Village
Conservation Area Appraisal (adopted in 2007) and new Management
Plan. No boundary changes are proposed.

Decision

Decision(s):

 
That the adoption of Lunt Village, Homer Green
and Carr Houses Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans
be approved  (Annexes 1,2 and 3) as a background planning
document where their contents will be a material consideration in
the determination of planning applications.
 

 
Reasons for the Decision(s):
 
That Cabinet Member approves
the documents to fulfil the Councils statutory duties under the
Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas)
Act 1990.

The alternative options
are:
 
-That no Conservation Area
Appraisal nor Management Plan are carried out which would not be in
the best interests of preserving and enhancing Lunt Village, Homer
Green and Carr Houses conservation
areas.
