Purpose

This report is to seek approval
to implement the use of an external supply framework for the
provision of legal services, for use by every local authority
constituent member of the North West Legal Consortium
(NWLC).

Decision

Decision(s):
 
 
(1)   
the Chief Legal and Democratic
Officer & Monitoring Officer be authorised to conduct a procurement exercise, on behalf of the North West
Legal Consortium, of an external supply framework for the provision
of legal services with a view to entering into a contract for a
period of 4 years and;

 
(2)   
the Chief Legal
and Democratic Officer & Monitoring Officerbe
delegated authority in consultation with NWLC Board Members to
award the Contracts resulting from the
procurement.
 
Reasons for the Decision(s):
 
To have an appropriate and best
value contract system in place for the provision of legal services,
in line with business requirements.
