Purpose
This report sets out the
background to the Council’s current Leisure Centre Management
System and proposes a procurement route for a new solution in line
with business requirements.
Decision
Decision(s):
(1)
That the Assistant Director of People (Communities) be authorised
to conduct a procurement exercise for a replacement Leisure
Management System with a view to entering a contract for a maximum
period of 3 years, plus 1 optional year (the maximum allowable
period on GCloud).
(2) That the Assistant Director
of People (Communities ) , in consultation with the Cabinet Member
for Health & Wellbeing , be granted delegated authority to
award the Contract(s) resulting from the procurement and to award
any extension thereof.
Reasons for the Decision(s):
To have an appropriate and best
value contract and system in place for the management of Leisure
Services, in line with business requirements.
Alternative Options
Considered and Rejected: (including any
Risk Implications)
To continue with the existing
solution, however this system does not meet the requirements of the
service and needs investment to upgrade it in line with cyber
security recommendations.
